POSITION TITLE: National Accounts – Nurse Clinician
REPORTS TO (POSITION):
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The National Account Nurse Clinician’s primary responsibility is to evaluate regulatory compliance as it relates to pharmacy services for the nursing facility. The nurse will also determine educational program needs for the community/facility related to pharmacy services. This will be accomplished by conducting a quality assurance audit prior to or within the survey window (three months prior to the twelve-month anniversary date) to ensure that the facility / community is compliant with the applicable federal and state requirements as it relates to pharmacy services as well as to provide applicable educational programs required in assisting the facility in attaining and maintaining compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
□ Conducting the Medication Assistant program;
□ Conducting Medication Administration Program;
□ Train the trainer in-service for Medication Administration Program;
□ Provide recommendations regarding the plan of corrective action to the Key Account Manager for any National Account customer who is dissatisfied with their current service level;
□ Assist with start-up implementation (2-3 day) process for National Account customers
□ Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
□ Display behavior which exemplifies employee code of conduct guidelines.
□ Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
o Must be a graduate of an Accredited School for Registered Nursing.
o Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
o Must have a valid driver’s license, with proof of insurance.
o Must be dependable in attendance and job performance.
o Must be fluent in the English language and have the ability to read and write English.
o Must have good communication, speaking and writing skills.
o Must be willing and able to travel--position requires 75% travel.
o Must demonstrate good time management skills including good planning and adherence to a schedule.
o Must be computer literate.
□ Preferred Experience
o Long-term care multi-facility clinical experience desired.
