Regional Project Controls Analyst, Design & Construction-13001194

Description
The Regional Project Controls Analyst reports to the Regional Director of Construction within Global Real Estate and Workplace Enablement (GREWE) and provides direct support to GREWE’s projects & process controls engineer. S/he will be responsible for supporting the Regional Director and Regional Project Management team in the delivery of capital projects and for providing the key interface on all matters pertaining to capital plan reporting and data analysis between respective region and global real estate. This is a growth position with the opportunity for the right candidate to grow into Project Management or other positions within Global Real Estate.

Project Support:
*
Support project managers in the drafting of capital appropriations request for approval by senior management.

*
Support project managers in the soliciting of proposal and drafting of purchase orders for project manager’s approval and escalation to senior management for final approval.

*
Evaluate project and regional budgets, purchase orders and invoices.

*
Ensure project cost control database is being consistency and properly used by project managers across region.

*
Process invoices for submittal to accounts payable.

*
Research various American Express data bases to resolve purchase order and invoice issues.

*
Solicit final invoices from vendors to ensure project closeout within specified time frame.

*
Provide support, as needed, to American Express finance so as to align with American Express policies.

*
Collect data from project managers and update bi-weekly project status reports.

*
Ensure team consistency with regard to uploading of project documents (meeting minutes, master schedules, financial close-outs, etc.) to document management system.

Data reporting and Analysis:
*
Provide key leadership in regional cost tracking and reporting while ensuring the highest level of data integrity for project and regional cost analysis and reporting.

*
Function as systems administrator and subject matter expert for project control systems.

*
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries concerning performance reports and data.

*
Recognize and analyze trends in process and system deficiencies to determine long-term solutions.

*
Support global project controls engineer to identify issues and make improvements in project controls reporting systems.

Project management:
*
As directed by regional design & construction director, oversee and execute small scale capital projects.

Qualifications

*
BS or BA (Construction Management, Engineering or Finance concentration preferred)

*
2+ years of project-level experience in construction project administration preferred.

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, analytical and computer literate.
*
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.

*
Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving ability.

*
Strong verbal/written communication skills.

*
Strong quantitative skills.

*
Experience with ms access a strong plus.

*
Aspirations to develop and grow within global estate team.
