Performs work related to developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in various levels of government, private industry, and/or academic institutions to communicate and disseminate information about program mission and activities.
Performs surveys, studies, and evaluations to measure and improve program operations and results.
Performs duties in support of the information, internal communications, and liaison activities for volunteer recruitment and selection. Acts as a liaison with persons or groups within and/or outside of the organization to disseminate information about program requirements.
Participates in marketing campaigns.
Establishes and maintains relationships with the general public, the news and information media, key officials, agency stakeholders, industry representatives, and/or community groups in order to communicate and disseminate program information which results in an understanding of the agency's mission and activities.

Grade 07: Qualifying experience for the FP-07 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to FP-09 or GS-5 which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples are reviewing regulations and policies and applying them to limited and routine administrative work assignments; or assisting in analyzing and recommending solutions to work process problems or issues.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
The experience requirement may be met by successful completion of one full academic year of graduate level education or law school OR successfully meeting the requirements of the Superior Academic Achievement provisions.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements.
Grade 05: Qualifying experience for the FP-05 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the FP-06 or FP-07 which is equivalent to the GS-8 or GS-7 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This is an Excepted Service Appointment. Initial appointments to the Peace Corps normally are for 30 months, but may be extended up to 5 years. Employees are paid on the Foreign Service pay scale and receive the same benefits as other Federal employees. A background security investigation will be required for all hires. The incumbent serves as a Regional Recruiter assigned to the New York Regional Recruitment Office and reports to that office's Regional Recruitment Supervisor.
