The Regional Sales Manager executes plans and tactics to achieve revenue and advertiser growth objectives for both print and internet products. The individual in this role will be responsible for coaching and leading Inside and Outside Sales Managers and overseeing the achievement of sales results for both inside and outside sales representatives. The Regional Sales Manager will also provide support to Branch Manager in development of division strategies as well as canvass strategies, tactics, and forecasting. This individual will also support the Branch Manager in sales rep recruiting and hiring.
Assists Branch Manager in development of division and canvass strategies aimed at meeting all objectives including revenue objectives, advertiser base growth and product specific objectives e.g. sales of Internet product line. And Manages day to day aspects of sales campaigns including sales schedules, market splits, productivity, work flow, market closure and tracking of campaign progress. Focuses on timely handling of the market through proper channel distribution. Works with District Sales Managers to provide accurate forecasting on all campaigns.
Develops and executes sales rep and Digital Sales Manager skill development plans including sales skills, coaching, leadership, time management, and communication skills. Oversees efforts of Inside and Outside Sales Managers to develop skills of sales rep through review of all BCC coaching activities. Insures that Inside and Outside Sales Managers are applying situational leadership to sales rep development.
Coordinates all activities at book close in support of Branch Manager, Sales Support Manager. Book close activities include management of unhandled contract reports, and revenues reconciliation.
Insures customer satisfaction through review of directory accuracy reports and any customer contacts needed to insure customer issues are resolved.
Works with the BCC Lead to introduce changes in Marketing programs e.g. pricing and new products. Responsible for staying current on industry trends and technological developments.
Assists in recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new sales representatives; Ensuring the sales force maintains 110% of headcount.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Proven experience in business to business sales and/or sales management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to mentor managers and coach and develop others.
Success driving sales results.
Microsoft Office efficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with the use of Saleforce.com
Ability to communicate with external partners and senior leadership.
Strong management and organizational skills.
This position is based out of Lexington.
Must be able to travel more than 50%.
