The Regional Talent Acquisition Manager represents Global Talent Acquisition in a geographical region and works closely with the global talent acquisition team to roll out global talent acquisition strategy, programs and initiatives tailored to regional/local requirements. This is a key role to ensure Talent Acquisition at DSM becomes a strategic organization that delivers excellence in functional and operational recruitment in support to the businesses and functions within DSM. The role is responsible for attracting and securing the best-in-class global talent from the external marketplace.

Location: Shanghai

The Challenge
  • Maintain a regular dialogue with hiring managers and local HR to gain a deep understanding of current and future recruitment needs in the region
  • Direct operational recruitment responsibility for mid to senior management level functions
  • Leadership and guidance of the Talent Acquisition team
  • Translate new ideas into projects to be implemented locally and/or globally
  • Represent the region on the Global Talent Acquisition Team in order to share best practices
  • Participate in global functional excellence project development
  • Roll out global programs & policies in the region
  • In line with global talent acquisition strategy, proactively support local HR teams via optimization of recruitment infrastructure, best practices and regional talent acquisition strategy implementation
  • Based on business needs and working closely with Talent Management establish and maintain proactive Talent Pools for long-term strategic talent pipelining
  • Develop appropriate channels and external events to roll out employer branding
  • Provide the lead in vendor management both on global, regional and local level
  • Represent DSM talent acquisition to the external talent market as appropriate
  • Manage and coordinate campus/graduate recruitment programs
Take the lead in needs definition in the area of interview, assessment and selection training and ensure delivery

The Ideal
  • An experienced recruitment professional with a minimum of 10 years working experience in the APAC region
  • Proven success in recruiting mid to senior level management
  • Previous executive search/consulting experience
  • Experience working with a global or multinational company in a relevant sector or industry
  • Experience working in a matrix structure highly desirable
  • International living or working experience
  • Solid knowledge of and experience in both operational and functional excellence in recruitment
  • Relevant educational qualifications
Fluent in English and Chinese
