Velti is seeking a Regional Vice President, North America Carrier Sales who will be responsible for creating and executing Velti’s strategic carrier and large account sales initiatives in North America. This is a unique opportunity to shape the sales strategy of a company at the forefront of the global explosion in mobile marketing—an industry projected by ABI research to grow to $29 billion by 2014. The successful candidate must be able to strategically utilize and leverage industry and product knowledge and existing strategic relationships to close revenue by identifying, developing, and managing opportunities in large Carrier accounts.

Responsibilities :
Carry out sales strategy by leading efforts to maximize efficiencies, revenues, growth and profits in target accounts;
Cover strategic accounts across the US and Canada. Motivate, measure and manage your team of experienced carrier sales executives to success.
Must possess executive-selling skills to build account relationships at the C/SVP/VP level while engaging tactically at the business executive and staff level within divisional or departmental sales and marketing initiatives.
To accurately report the revenue performance and status of sales activities to the executive management team;
Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry peers and major corporate players necessary for ensuring the company’s continued growth;
Direct Involvement in high profile sales pitches and with tier one accounts plus market development at the highest level into target segments;
Formulate and execute major Sales and Marketing policies, programs and objectives (both short and long term) to promote and ensure the company’s continuing success and growth;
Representing Velti at a senior level externally with clients and at conferences, exhibitions and trade shows as appropriate.
Collaborate with other senior Velti sales leaders globally;
Operate and perform in an achievement-oriented culture that motivates and rewards both individual and team contributions;
Meet or exceed revenue quota objectives in assigned territory for products and services.

Required Experience & Qualifications :
Experience developing strategic sales in a solutions and services-oriented environment.
Experience in selling to Network Operators in North America.
Strong network of existing relationships.
Strength in understanding fairly technical and complex solutions and being able to represent them to customers in an easy-to-understand way.
Proven ability to work seamlessly with colleagues from many different disciplines (engineering, product, marketing, legal, finance) and in multiple different global locations, to make your sales team successful
Communications and presentation skills - excellent oral and written communications skills a must; ability to tailor presentation and content of solutions as appropriate to executive and business focused audiences as well as technical staff.
Work Ethic, Attitude and Follow-through - Commitment to excel and positive attitude combined with energy and enthusiasm.
Proven track record of winning profitable business in a dynamic, creative and or leading edge technology markets.
Ability to gain insight into clients’ strategic business issues and strategies and provide services to assist in aiding value-added services while building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients
Demonstrated self-starter pro-active – with ability to open doors and close deals
Team building and sales management experience
Skilled in consultative / conceptual selling
Confident cold-calling senior executives
Accustomed to working and travelling in the US and internationally.
A mature and establish contact database
Proven understanding of the dynamics and mechanisms of mobile and online marketing.
Ability to translate clients’ business objectives into marketing driven analyses and answers
Ability to quickly and effectively grasp the multiple needs of clients and translate into a research design and analysis
Ability to provide customer input into strategic and financial planning
Experience in new media and telecoms environment will be considered a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
