Central Florida Regional Hospital has an opportunity for a Registered Clinical Dietitian to work PRN (flexible hours and a flexible shift) days during the week and some weekends serving our patients.
The Registered Dietitian plans, directs, and provides optimal nutritional care to all pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Provides counseling and/or assistance to the patient's family/significant other in an effort to maintain consistency or care after the patient's discharge. Acts as a liaison between the Food Services Department and the patient and/or patient's family, medical staff, and hospital a staff member. This shall be carried out in accordance with all state/federal laws, JACHO standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
American Dietetic Association Registration required (R.D.)
Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition required.
Must have current Florida state licensure as a Dietitian (L.D.)
One to three years experience required.
Previous experience as a hospital dietitian preferred.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
