the direction of the Nursing Coordinator and/or the ADON, provides
clinical care as prescribed by the Department of Nursing, internal
and external regulatory bodies, and standards of nursing
practice. Maintains adherence to internal hospital policies,
procedures, external regulatory, governmental agencies, and the
Mental Health Nursing Standards of Practice.
Licensed Professional Nurse. Minimum of two(2) years of
Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing experience, preferably in a
Hospital based behavioral care. Maintains compliance with all Hospital annual competencies as
well as CPR, and designated protective intervention
program. Thoroughly understands the management of the patient
milieu including age specific and cultural requirements and has
knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA regulations and all other relevant
state and federal regulatory standards.
