The FLVS FT Registrar works closely with the director, principal, and assistant principals in the areas of school/student records, document development, correspondence, and scheduling. The job of FLVS FT Registrar is done for the purpose/s of performing specialized and responsible clerical and technical tasks related to the registration of students and maintenance of student records and files; as well as related duties as required and conveying registration related information and reports to the appropriate parties. Requirements

For consideration for this position, candidates must meet all of the job requirements as listed below:

M INIMUM R EQUIREMENTS :

Education:
  • Associate’s Degree; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Experience:

  • Three years of broad, varied, and increasingly responsible experience, preferably two years in a registrar’s office/student records
  • Some school district experience preferred

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate assigned programs and/or activities (e.g. student registration, attendance issues) for the purpose of delivering services in conformance to established guidelines and ensuring performance of complex and difficult tasks
·
Receive, review, compile, and evaluate applications, transcripts, and other specialized documents and recommends acceptance or rejection
·
Process enrollment and withdrawal of students
·
Maintain student Records, program, grade, and personal records
·
Answer inquiries and assist administrators, counselors, students, parents, teachers and other agencies concerning academic programs, graduation requirements, and admissions and withdrawals
·
Perform special services for administrators, counselors, and teachers to expedite enrollment procedures
·
Continually audit student records periodically to ensure accuracy and completeness of grades, credits, and graduation eligibility
·
Instruct, assign, train, and check work of office employees and student help makes operating decisions within school, district and state policies and regulations
·
Responsible for keeping all information on students up-to-date as it relates to directory information, grading and transcript evaluation, proficiency requirements, health requirements, drop-out information, and home language survey
·
Process records for microfilming and the sending of transcripts to colleges, other high schools, outside agencies, and completes evaluations for same
·
Perform related duties as required
