DESCRIPTION

The University Registrar has overall responsibility for the leadership, direction and management of the Office of the Registrar. The individual in this position leads the planning and management of services and programs related to student records, registration, enrollment, graduation, course and room scheduling, and the integrity of student information data. The University Registrar works with faculty and administrators of the academic programs, as well as other departments in Enrollment Management, to develop and implement innovative University policies and procedures for the recruitment and retention of students.
Northwestern seeks an individual who will provide the vision and leadership to enhance an academic records management enterprise at Northwestern Health Sciences University. The University Registrar will be charged with bringing technology based efficiencies to institutional record-keeping at all levels and taking responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of degree granting.

DUTIES

Serve as the chief student records official for the University. Provide leadership and oversight for the student records management function of the University; research and execute process improvement; and continue to expand the use and functionality of existing and new technology to ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data and records.
Ensure compliance with academic, regulatory and accreditation policies and requirements
Develop and apply academic and administrative policies to support enrollment management goals and the university mission.&8194;&8194;&8194;&8194;
Develop guidelines and manage the dissemination of student information to internal and external customers.
Develop and manage policies and procedures that fall under the responsibility of the Registrar's office, including the Student Handbook, the University Catalog, records retention, and FERPA.
&8194;Responsible for the budget development and resource management for all Registrar operations and activities.&8194;&8194;
Serve on University-wide committees and participate in state, regional, and/or national professional conferences&8194;&8194;&8194;
Provide supervision, guidance and training for related registrar functions, and provide direction to assigned staff.&8194;&8194;&8194;&8194;

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required, Masters Degree strongly preferred in student services, educational administration or related field.
Five years of progressive leadership experience in a registrar's office or equivalent official student records office, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and strong skills in the effective use and development of technological tools and systems used to support and deliver registrar programs and services, including institution-wide student information systems (Agresso is the system used at Northwestern).
Experience managing the permanent records and imaging systems of an academic institution.
Ability to provide strong leadership and supervision, including motivating and energizing colleagues; effectively manage departments and programs; and work effectively and efficiently to deliver a wide variety of services and programs to a diversity of faculty, staff, students, and the wider community.
