The Registrar is responsible to perform the duties required to carry out the functions of Patient Access. Areas of responsibility may include but not be limited to, interacting with patients, preparing registration documents, entering patient demographics into registration system, placing orders in order management system, and providing excellent customer service. Cross trains and works in all areas of patient access for the benefit of facility operations.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Records patient in log book neatly and accurately
Prepares patient chart and identification bracelet
Assists outpatient Department as required
2 Years of recent Office/Secretarial experience in a medical setting
ICD Coding experience
Detail oriented and outstanding customer service skills
Knowledge of medical terminology, as well as intermediate computer proficiency, with excellent customer service and communication skills
Word Processing and spreadsheet application experience
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull
Preferred Skills and Experience
Associates Degree from an accredited institution
