Holy Family Medical Center is located in Des Plaines , Illinois at the corner of River Road and Golf Roads. Our beautifully maintained facility is a specialty hospital caring for medically complex patients requiring hospitalization for 25 -100 days of acute care . We have gained the reputation as the best LTACH in Illinois ! We do have an award winning Same Day Surgical Department and perfom special procedures in our Imaging Department, requiring support by this department.
Duties:
Performs all duties involving the decontamination, cleaning, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments, packaging/sterilization of supplies addording to established guidelines.
Receives, stocks, picks, and distributes supplies to all requesting RHC departments. Distributes,sets up, cleans and sterilizes patient care equipment.
Inventories and fills exchange/par, procedure,case and crash carts. Completes all required computer functions on both the Patient Care and Finance computer systems for all functions.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Department of Education in the State of Illinois.
Completion of accredited Central Supply Technical Course preferred.
Minimum 2 years on the job training in medical facility with first hand knowledge of sterilization and decontamination required.
