Southwestern Energy Company is a rapidly growing, independent producer of domestic natural gas, an important natural resource that helps fuel our nation's economy while playing a critical role in America's quest for energy independence. Southwestern Energy Company began operating in Arkansas 80 years ago. We now produce primarily natural gas from more than 1.5 million acres of land and have expanded our operations into Texas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. We also engage in natural gas gathering and marketing activities in our core market areas in support of exploration and production activities. We are currently looking for a Regulatory Analyst for our office in Tunkhannock, PA.


This position is responsible for coordinating regulatory activities in our Pennsylvania operations for all local, state and federal agencies. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to;

  • Serve as primary regulatory advisor in multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Coordinate all permitting and required filings with regulatory agencies
  • Provide proactive input to team on regulatory requirements for all projects
  • Serve as company representative in various industry organizations and public forums
  • Provide field operational support and exercise appropriate oversight to insure compliance in all operations
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with all regulatory agencies
  • Stay current on all new and pending regulatory initiatives and advise team on same
  • Skills Required:

  • Extensive work history in the Pennsylvania regulatory environment, including experience with the Pennsylvania DEP and Bureau of Oil & Gas, PA DCNR, SRBC, DRBC, and US Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Self motivated with ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with little supervision
  • Experience with permitting processes of state and federal regulatory bodies
  • Experience dealing with local government entities
  • Experience in the oil and gas or related industry preferred
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
