The Client Relationship Manager (RM) will be responsible for building and maintaining high quality relationships with corporations, endowments and foundations in 11 states from Texas north, representing all of Capital’s investment services. The RM role encompasses both client service and new business development. This RM will take on significant client/prospect responsibility immediately. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to effectively articulate Capital’s investment philosophy and process in both formal and informal presentations.
Client servicing responsibilities, including portfolio reviews, quarterly calls and prompt, thorough follow-up to requests
Generating new business from existing clients (cross-selling)
Converting prospects to clients
Effectively managing a team consisting of an Institutional Relationship Specialist and a Marketing Assistant in a service-oriented team environment
Institutional relationship management or equivalent experience (preferably in parts of existing territory)
Proven track record of working collaboratively with peers and directing the work of a team
Prior experience and success making marketing/sales presentations
Strong interest in the financial markets and a demonstrated ability to describe details of investment portfolios without the assistance of a portfolio manager
Strong investment and market knowledge
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
