Sr. Release Engineer, Comprehensive

Leads the team to provide business and technical expertise in the execution of
release builds; preservation of the integrity of the release process to all
testing environments and finally the deployment of approved source code into
live production. Responsible for documenting and training of Information
Systems Source Control Process to all users of the source repository Team
Foundation Server (TFS). Acts as first point of contact for Release Management
daily activities. On boards new team member and provide ongoing knowledge
transfer. Works with developers and project managers to ensure the preservation
of source integrity. Prepares detailed functional description and workflows of
our Software and Change Management tools and process. Creates, maintains and
provides guidance for improving of source code, build and software
infrastructure. Performs audit reporting for Internal Compliance on a monthly
and quarterly basis.
Requires BS in computer science, engineering or related field plus 60 months IT
Release Management/Build Management experience and 24 months experience in
multi-platform network software development for a variety of operating systems.
Also requires demonstrated knowledge in automation tools and scripting
languages such as Perl, bash, Ruby, PHP and their use in web technologies,
demonstrated knowledge of software engineering methodologies, and extensive
knowledge of Software Configuration Management systems.
