The Release Engineer is responsible for adapting, packaging and implementing the sensor into all vehicle architectures to monitor 12 volt battery health and charging system performance. The Release Engineer will manage all vehicle specific cost, weight, investment, EE&D and ER&D related to the IBS sensor. Will work closely with the platform teams and vehicle assembly plants to triage any and all software, hardware, fastener and build related issues associated with the IBS sensor. Develop cost reduction improvements (TCR) and harmonize/standardize sensor specifications and IBS software/hardware with FIAT/Fiasa counterparts in an effort to improve quality while reducing unnecessary costs.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
Minimum 3 years engineering experience
Minimum 3 years' experience w/ automotive OEM component development
CAN/LIN/VMM and diagnostic protocol experience
Quality/warranty field related experience
Program management skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Project) Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
Experience in circuit design
Documentation skills including MS Office and Viseo
Working knowledge of Chrysler operating/development systems
