The Infrastructure Technical Lead - Release Management position is responsible for the day to day management and communication of code releases entering and exiting NMDP’s lower environments. The Infrastructure Tech Lead - Release Management will be responsible for managing software versions/releases, configurations, versions, and database refreshes
through the various development and testing environments leading to the production environment.
This position requires strong release management experience, deep understanding of release management needs and considerations across all phases of the project lifecycle, strong written and communication skills, the capacity to work independently and the ability to coordinate activities and interact effectively across multiple technical teams.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement.
-Minimum of six (6) years technical work experience in the IT industry with five (5) years of experience as a primary supporting technical resource and a minimum of two (2) years as an infrastructure implementation technology expert with experience analyzing and creating artifacts describing the architecture from the business, information, data, environment, and technology viewpoints.
-Experience in engineering and implementing technical solutions including both in-house developed and COTS (Commercial, off-the-shelf) technologies.
-Experience with simplifying the customer implementation process by standardizing infrastructure and the associated operating procedures.
-Experience designing, building and managing technology environments that include high-performance compute, back-up/recovery, high-availability, DR/Business Continuity and support capabilities at the enterprise level.
-Technical experience across a number of platforms, operating systems and technologies.
-Direct experience with ITIL based change and release management procedures.
-Knowledge of SDLC and experience in change, risk, incident, and problem management.
-Knowledge of multi-tiered computing environments to support a federated architecture strategy.
-Ability to recognize infrastructure platform interdependencies and develop solutions that most effectively utilize the installed infrastructure and anticipate evolving technologies.
-Strong knowledge of end-to-end infrastructure architecture life-cycle management.
-Knowledge of infrastructure hardware implementation and testing methodologies along with experience in requirement standardization.
-Solid understanding of standardized SDLC deliverables and the ability to discuss technological terminology in business terms.
-Advanced technical expertise in infrastructure design, development and implementation with specialization in multiple technology disciplines, platforms and applications.
-Knowledge of infrastructure architecture, servers, security, distributed support and management.
