Reporting to the department Maintenance Superintendent, this position will provide support for the needs of the business in the maintenance and/or reliability function. This support includes, but is not limited to:
- Identify & implement improvements in process & equipment reliability across the Mill by working closely with operations & maintenance personnel.
- Provide maintenance engineering, technical assistance, reliability leadership/support & mill-wide change support.
- Coordinate & supervise both Mill and contract personnel during normal & outage conditions.
- Serve as the main interface for Reliability improvement by reviewing equipment history & performing failure cause analysis.
- Review existing preventive maintenance processes for value to the maintenance effort & propose changes as necessary to improve the reliability of the assets.
Personal dedication to working safely
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology
Strong knowledge of equipment/process systems & equipment selection
Strong equipment & system troubleshooting aptitude
Good written & oral communication skills needed to effectively communicate technical activities across all levels of the organization
Frequent walking, climbing ladders & stairs, crawling into confined spaces, measure/lift/carry objects of varying weights
Exposure to dust, heat, dirt, grease, chemicals, noise, various weather conditions & other industrial environments
Use of PPE & respiratory protection is required

Minimum of three (3) years experience in Pulp & Paper environment.
Safety - has experience in leading and promoting a safe work environment.
Systems, Applications & Programs (SAP) Experience - Experienced in use of SAP Enterprise system which includes Plant Maintenance management processes.
Training and understanding of reliability methods and practices to improve asset reliability.
Presentation skills - able to work with a diverse group of people to resolve issues.
Microsoft Office products experience.
US Citizenship or permanent residency.
The Hawesville Mill is a pulp and paper mill located in Hawesville, Kentucky, along the banks of the beautiful Ohio River. The Mill manufactures two distinct products: Hardwood Market Pulp and Fine Paper. The Bleached Pulp Mill produces bleached hardwood pulp that is sold to other companies for use in the manufacture of various paper products and also furnishes pulp to the Fine Paper Mill. The Fine Paper Mill produces 1,700 tons per day of forms bond, tablet, offset and copy paper.
