Reliability Engineer responsible for ensuring Platform and Application reliability through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, coupled with additional automated testing. The Reliability Engineer reports directly to the SVP DSP Engineering who has direct responsibility to the CTO. The Reliability Engineer works closely with the Lead Engineer, Architect, and Product Manager, ensuring that the platform is both robust and reliable through identifying defects early and communicating them to the appropriate team members.

The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that DSP and the applications deployed on top of it are always available and understanding the stress points and limits of each. The Reliability Engineer will also work with other Leads including Architects and Engineers to ensure that all critical code defects are resolved as to not impact the platform's reliability before moving from Staging to Production.

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:

Testing, Testing, Testing

Implementation and maintenance of Jenkins CI, Gerrit, Code Repositories, Staging and Production Environments

Resolving issues, test failures, deployment, staging, and production issues

Actively participate in Sprint Planning with Product Manager, Architect and Engineering Teams

Work to resolve code quality issues with Engineering Team

Creating automated tests for Services, Interfaces, and Integrations

Ensuring that all tests pass before pushing to Production

Creating automated deployments (through manifests) for all applications and services

Required Competencies/Skills:

Experience with Jenkins or Hudson, Gerrit, Git/GitHub

Proven experience with Agile methodologies

Experience in writing and documenting test plans

Experience in TDD

Familiarity with DevOps and Ruby (Scripting/Automation)

Special Requirements/Preferences:

Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment

Experience with Testing tools and libraries

Experience with Load testing / Stress testing tools

Experience with Performance and Reliability Testing
