The Reliability Manager is responsible for managing and refining the overall reliability program for QEP Field Services in order to achieve long term safety, environmental, operational and financial targets for all equipment types. This position provides direction and leadership to the Reliability Engineers and Technicians to continually assess, refine and achieve the organization’s reliability goals. The Reliability Manager is responsible for measuring and managing reliability metrics on a Field Service wide basis, including the overall reliability budget
Primary Duties:
• Provides oversight and direction to the Reliability group to implement and manage effective predictive maintenance (PdM) programs for all equipment types
• Drives the development and ongoing maintenance of the Work Procedures and Instructions for the Mechanical Integrity programs (both PSM and PHSMA)
• Manages the Root Cause Failure Analysis process to identify the reliability opportunities and guide Field Services in prioritizing and solving these opportunities
• Works closely with the Maintenance group to trouble shoot issues in the field and develop rigorous repair plans
• Ensure that the correct reliability metrics are in place and stewarded so that the organization has a solid understanding of reliability performance, costs and opportunities
• Drives the development of the equipment standards for the organization to achieve reliability and maintainability and ensures compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
• Ensures the Reliability group is providing adequate technical support and guidance to the Projects group
• Identifies innovative and/or technological advancements for reliability improvements
• Supports and provides guidance on Equipment File Management (electronic/hard copy)
• Supervises the Reliability Engineers and Technicians, taking an active role in their development and providing guidance and training for less experienced staff
• Develops and manages the expense budget for the group
• Executes independent judgement to accomplish goals within broad guidelines and policies

• Stressful situations from pressures related to production requirements, external expectations, deadlines, and safety and environmental compliance requirements
• Reliability principles (Predictive, Preventative, Reliability Centered Maintenance) and processes
• Maintenance processes and repair procedures
• Root cause analysis methodologies and principles
• Process Safety Management and D.O.T regulations as they relate to mechanical work
• Computerized Maintenance Management System and Reliability Systems
• Developed interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to listen, inform, influence and resolve conflict at all levels of the Field Service organization
• Self-motivated, organized and able to drive implementation reliability program changes in an appropriate time frame while simultaneously building ownership of the program into other work groups.
• Follows work processes and encourages other to do so
• Strong computer and analytical skills
• Originality and ingenuity are required for devising practical and economical solutions to problems
• Relevant university degree (mechanical, chemical, etc.)
• Ten plus years of practical reliability experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Supervisory experience
