Perform disassembly, clean, requalification, rework and assembly operations on Traction Motor Combo component utilizing manual equipment and automated equipment in accordance with manufacturing and quality procedures. Inspect work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance to quality or engineering requirements. Responsible to perform work in a safe manor in support of lean manufacturing principals such as but not limited to 5S or single piece flow.

Essential Responsibilities
In addition, in this role you will:
  • Support and perform work in compliance to all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations
  • Provide Manufacturing support for manufacturing or remanufacturing of UX Traction Motor Combo components for the facility
  • Utilize manual and automated production equipment, various hydraulic or pneumatic tools for completion of responsibilities in accordance with in-house manufacturing and quality procedures to ensure all products meet specified requirements.
  • Inspect work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance to quality or engineering requirements utilizing fixtures, precision measuring devices and or testing protocols
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs
  • Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
  • Sign-off on the process documentation for each of the work steps performed
  • Process components in compliance with internal processing requirements
  • Maintain acceptable defect rates
  • Operate fork truck and overhead crane per OSHA guidelines
  • Aids in the training of other employees on new or existing procedures
  • Works and cooperates well on a team so team objectives are met
  • Assists in the development of new processes to improve product quality and production efficiency and aids in the development of new product models
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned by Flow Leader, Team Lead, or member of the management Team

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Boots, Safety Goggle/Glasses, Gloves)

    Desired Characteristics
  • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school)
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 1 year analytical testing experience
  • Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies
  • Knowledge of safe use manual equipment and hand tools for assigned product lines
  • Working knowledge of use of inspection measurement equipment
  • Understanding of all manufacturing and quality procedures associating assigned product line in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Prior fork truck and overhead crane experience is desired
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail and numbers oriented
