Our Furniture Repair Technicians handle the repairing of damaged product in our warehouse, as well as repairing product within customer's homes. This individual must be able to manage multi-task assignments, work independently, and perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

We are looking for experienced technicians who know what it means to give outstanding customer service, have experience in furniture and repair, have enthusiasm for what they do and who truly believe that the customer always comes first.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a DOT Physical & drug screen
Maintain a well groomed personal appearance, including no visible tattoos, no more than one stud piercing per ear, and natural color hair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Repair inventory in the warehouse and in customer's homes.
Driving a company vehicle to repair damaged product in customer's homes.
Ensure customer satisfaction by handling repairs in a timely, effective, professional and courteous manner.
Ensure supplies, parts and required documentation is in place to ensure successful service call.
Provide detailed information including digital pictures, serial numbers, and descriptions to service department for parts ordering, vendor charge backs, reschedules, not at homes and services times.
Perform various duties as directed by Operations Manager.
Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participates in departmental stretching program, and overall maintains a safe working environment
Other duties may be assigned.

Language Skills

Require skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Possess skills to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.

Education and/or Experience

Prefer a two year degree related to woodworking, and must have or a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to two years related experience and/or training.

Mathematical Skills

Mathematical aptitude to calculate figures, and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
