ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
In this position, you will play a critical role creating design documentation for all development work and perform requirements gathering, analysis and risk assessment.
Perform system analysis in order to determine most effective design strategy.
Troubleshoot issues that arise during the lifecycle of a project and escalate as appropriate as well as participate in process improvement discussions.
Mentor other developers in all aspects of technical, project management, analytics, and job performance to improve their skills.
Function as a project lead over other developers on larger projects.
Create SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and tables to build ETL feeds.
Create SSIS packages and SSRS reports that use the above to output text, Excel, and PDF files.
Create and modify Access VBA-heavy databases to output Snapshot or PDF files.
Perform and review unit tests, code reviews, and deployments.
Perform analysis of software or programming languages for suitability to needs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent work experience required
5+ years of T-SQL server experience required with the ability to create SSIS packages and SSRS reports
5+ years of Access VBA experience
Previous experience in the insurance or healthcare industry preferred
Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively the information
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills at the manager and developer level
Ability to multi-task, is highly organized and can work independently
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve quickly
