Enterprise stories
• Gather, write and produce material in fair, accurate and balanced manner
• Cover sports on-air and on other platforms as assigned from studio and field locations
• Create, report and help produce specials and packages, based on either breaking or pre-planned stories
• Establish sources and build a strong list of story ideas on a year-round basis
• Develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local stories
• Provide on-air support to local sports shows and other productions as required
• Active community involvement
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a television reporter
• Minimum 3 years of experience covering sports
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications or related major
• Must be willing to work in Washington D.C.
• Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be available to evenings, weekends and holidays as required

• Solid digital shooting skills
• Experience working with desktop computers and exposure to laptop editing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and sources
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and act as a team player
• Experience utilizing social media as a news gathering/reporting tool
