The Reporting Analyst works with the supervisor and key business contacts in the development and delivery of standardized reporting by gathering requirements, analyzing data and presenting the data in a logical manner.
The incumbent creates and implements analytical reports, improves efficiencies within the existing reporting structure, completes complex ad hoc requests, combines information from disparate systems, and serves as a subject matter expert on EDW reporting projects. The Analyst is responsible for providing accurate reporting results that meet the requirements of internal customers, including, but not limited to, Network Operations, Leasing Operations, Network Development, Strategic Sites, and the Program Management Office.
Develop, modify, maintain and continuously improve reporting processes using a variety of reporting and analysis tools.
Combine data elements from disparate databases to create and manage metrics and reporting.
Review, evaluate, design, implement and maintain reports and analyses to support current business initiatives.
Meet periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) reporting deadlines of the operations team.
Support departmental needs for ad hoc reporting.
Provide technical and analytical expertise in responding to complex, specialized report requests requiring sophisticated data analyses and data management experience.
Analyze/validate reporting results for accuracy/business requirements.
Research issues to determine source of discrepancies and identify solutions for preventing future discrepancies.
Conduct cross-organizational training, as required.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook a must. Must be technologically savvy
Sound knowledge of Cognos 8.4
Knowledge of SQL: Must be able to write views and query data
Complex data analysis experience is required.
Meticulous attention to detail with an appreciation for the relationship between data quality and company success.
Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the American Tower organization to effectively and professionally achieve business results
Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs as needed
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
Self-motivated, able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high quality solutions
Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight and minimal supervision.
Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills.
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in a related field and Recent experience with SQL Server, Oracle, OBIEE, and Cognos highly preferred
Minimum three years experience of high level data analysis
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
