Position Overview:
Responsible for providing support for interfaces for disparate applications throughout the hospital to ensure database integrity across systems. Designs, codes and tests interfaces according to specifications using the required protocols such as: HL7, TCPIP, XML, etc.,
develop project plans to ensure that projects are implemented within established timeframes. Coordinates with management and I.S. Staff to ensure the project timeframes for interfaces coincide with house-wide information systems project timelines.

Provides expert knowledge and responsibility for designing, developing, testing and maintaining interfaces in healthcare environment, while leading the development process between vendors, and facilitate the interface needs of the outsourced
Designs, implements and maintains hospital's interface engine and all related inter-system data transmissions
Provides primary support in analysis and documentation of SQL Server 2008 & 2005
Provides primary support in analysis and documentation of interface enhancements and fixes
Coordinates and assist to update, upgrade and maintain interface engine for optimal performance and functionality
Troubleshoot and support interface engine and all interfaced and integrated applications
Involved with systems transitions of newly opened hospitals
Provides 24/7 technical support

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Technology related field of study (Equivalent work experience in information technology, minimum of 4 years, accepted in place of degree)
Three years’ experience with SQL Server databases and developing complex and robust SQL queries for SQL Server 2008, 2005 and 2000
Visual Basic/JavaScript
Reporting using Crystal Reports & MS Reporting Services
Health Level 7 (HL7) record formats
Knowledge of EHR/EDIS Systems, Radiology & Laboratory Systems.
Knowledge of setup of Windows 2003/2008 Server and Windows XP/2007
Networking/LANs, TCP/IP protocol
Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, Citrix
