Research & Development Project Manager San Francisco, CA USA

Terracotta is seeking a Research & Development Project Manager who will work with internal parties to organize components of a major project under the leadership of the Senior R&D Project Manager. The Project Manager works with internal and/or external parties to organize components of a major project. Duties include coordination of schedules and activities, tracking progress, and reporting results. Also, serves as the primary point of contact for all communications internal to the project, and responsible for executing the internal program communication plan.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage multiple projects within our rapid deployment environment
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents
  • Track and report on status, resource assignments
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Work with internal groups to facilitate integration with other projects
  • Follow-up on risks, issues, action items related to projects
  • Liaise and manage expectations with stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
Requirements:
  • Experienced in Scrum/Kanban and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to document and communicate process, goals, milestones, plans in a clear concise manner
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Skilled in working with managers, directors and executives
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Willingness to work with cross-functional team members in US, Europe and India
  • Capable of leading and owning area of responsibility, but willing to learn and take direction and coaching
  • Must be able to learn, understand , and apply new technologies
  • Technically competent with project management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace, dynamic environment, able to handle change on a frequent basis
  • Ability to develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
