Anzalone Liszt Research is a nationally-recognized Democratic polling firm with offices in Washington, DC, New York City, NY and Montgomery, AL. We are looking for an intelligent, hard-working professional with a proven ability to process data in SPSS.
Mandatory qualifications include:
Experience running crosstabs, writing variables, and executing statistical analyses in SPSS
A thorough understanding of demographic weighting and analysis
Background or coursework in research or SPSS
The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
A willingness to learn data analysis techniques as applied in the field of public opinion research
Ability to multi-task (e.g., handle the programming load for multiple surveys at any given time)
Preference given to candidates who possess a mix of the following:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields incorporating research, statistics and/or SPSS
Ability to run multivariate analysis (e.g. regression, cluster, factor)
Experience with other statistical software such as R, SAS, STATA, Sawtooth, etc.
Familiarity with categorical data analysis techniques
Coursework in or exposure to other research methods or analysis techniques
Creativity in data analysis and processing
Political interest or experience
The ability to laugh at oneself or tell a good joke
