The Research Analyst conducts thorough research analysis on prospect wealth and/or funding opportunities using various online and print resources, and produces comprehensive reports to assist development officers to move prospects through the fund-raising cycle. The position also manages the process of tracking prospects in the fund-raising database and provides training on the effective use of the system. The position plays a critical role in analyzing development officers' prospect portfolios and assisting with prospect management strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of research principles and techniques. Working knowledge of computer databases or online information systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to compile, evaluate and disseminate data.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of prospect research resources. Knowledge of general fundraising strategies. Mastery of all aspects of real estate property research. Mastery in accurately analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating the data collected. Demonstrated ability to evaluate philanthropic interests. Experience in prospect research and data management/analytics. Advanced experience using MS Office particularly Excel and Word. Experience working in a higher education setting.
