The Programming Research Team Analyst provides a critical supporting analytic role, the backbone of the team in issuing recurring (daily, weekly, monthly) reports. The Analyst supports the Director and the SVP as needed on audience assessment requests. The Analyst is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of reports.

  • Majority of the role will be to collect, organize and analyze Nielsen data, and other consumer tracking sources, for recurring reports
  • Production of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly ratings reports for channel and competitors
  • Responsible for Nielsen Program Names updates and schedule changes
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests regarding audience assessment
  • Organize and update Ratings Factbook
  • Present weekly and quarterly updates to Research team clients
  • Disseminate relevant information.
Basic Requirements:
  • 1-3 years related work experience (can be internships) in data analysis (preferably in TV Research for cable or broadcast)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong analytic and numeric skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Highly organized, ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Exhibits Professional demeanor
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Nielsen systems (StarTrak, MyEvnts, N-Power, Galaxy Explorer)
  • Knowledge of Nielsen TV terms, guidelines and procedures
  • Advanced Excel skills
