DESCRIPTION

To support a large epidemiological study, after training, incumbent will conduct in-home interviews of parents and youth and carry out participant location through telephone and home visits.

DUTIES

Incumbent will also perform various office tasks, such as participant tracking, data entry, support to computerization of interviews, home visit preparation, record keeping, quality control and other office-related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with participant families and investigators, experience/training in child's mental health assessment and data manipulation. Evening and weekend work required. Fluency in spanish. Bachelors Degree with relevant experience preferred. Masters degree in Public Health strongly preferred.

This position involves regular and substantial contact with children. The successful candidate will be screened through the New York State Central Child Abuse Register prior to assuming any duties that will involve contact with children. There is a $25.00 fee for this service which must be paid by the successful candidate.
