The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a well-established not-for-profit social science research and development organization. We are currently seeking a Research Assistant for the Washington, DC office.
The Research Assistant will support ESSIN Task 1 which supports the development, maintenance, and coordination of revisions to the NCES Statistical Standards, conducts center-wide technical reviews for all NCES publications and products, and provides methodological and statistical support and consultation to NCES. This team supports NCES through five key activities: conducting technical and compliance reviews of publications and data products; monitoring data quality; tracking use of NCES data products by researchers, policymakers and others; conducting research on survey and statistical methodology; and maintaining confidentiality of NCES data.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors degree, strong attention to detail, clear written communication; experience with large scale statistical survey data; ability to review technical documents and clearly communicate areas that do not meet standards and guidelines.
