Diabetes Clinical Research Program (DCRP)
The Research Assistant will work with the Clinical Research Coordinators to provide support under the direction of the Clinical Research Co-Managers for various Diabetes Program studies. This includes preparing for study visits, interacting with study participants, shipping study supplies, data entry, receiving samples and distributing to the appropriate lab (may require off-site delivery), assemble and ship test kits to study participants, order and maintain supplies for studies, and special projects as assigned. Some work includes IRB submissions, providing support to coordinators on various regulatory requirements, participant reimbursement and cost invoicing.
Multi-tasking is primary, with strong attention to detail. Solid people and organizational skills are required, as well as a good working understanding of computer software (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Data entry background, as well as some understanding and experience in research and specimen processing is helpful. Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated interest in biomedical and clinical research strongly preferred. Experience in health care or research is preferable. Some RA’s require a Healthcare Assistant Certificate to draw blood.
