This Research Assistant position provides administrative support to both the Senior Vice President of TV Land Strategic Insights & Research and the Vice President of Entertainment Group Digital Research and is an integral part of those groups.

The individual must be highly organized, productive and interested in employing their strong administrative skills in a Research group while they learn about Research in a media company. This person will learn about the Television Ratings system and will provide administrative support on Consumer/Market Research projects in addition to learning to create Site Traffic and Social Media Metric reports.

Responsibilities:

Administrative
  • Answer phones, manage calendars, make travel arrangements, process T&E’s for SVP and VP
  • Build relationships with other Assistants
  • Maintain up-to-date contact lists of vendors, key client execs and their assistants
  • Interface with Financial groups to track status of invoices
  • Assist with supplier payment issues
  • Maintain TV Land Research Project Budget Spreadsheet
  • Maintain and organize research reports and file system
  • Make arrangements (book conference rooms, handle guests, etc.) and provide technical support (PC, videoconference, audio/video, etc.) for all research presentations
TV Land Strategic Insights & Research Support
  • Interface with market research vendors regarding projects, research facilities, materials (e.g, contracts, invoices, stimuli, DVDs, etc.)
  • Liaison with Legal and Finance Departments to process vendor contracts/invoices
  • Serve as back-up to issue Nielsen Overnight Ratings reports
  • Serve as back-up to maintain and update TV Land’s Program Names system for Nielsen
  • Assist with competitive landscape reports and other ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Assist team with production of quarterly presentations
  • Provide materials for weekly ratings meetings
Entertainment Group Digital Research Support
  • Responsible for extracting data from various sources to be included in Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Site Traffic reports
  • Create and maintain the Social Media Metric report for the Entertainment & Games Digital Group
  • Assist with providing competitive intelligence
  • Support management in the development of presentations
Basic Qualifications:
  • College graduate with Internship experience preferred
  • Must have strong Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
