Under close supervision by more experienced researchers, assists Institute Fellow with research on budget, tax, retirement policy (Social Security, pensions, etc.), and other public finance issues.
Responsibilities include developing research topics, writing outlines and rough drafts, editing written materials, collecting and analyzing data, preparing charts, tables, and presentations, organizing projects and events.
BA/BS in economics, public policy, mathematics, or a relevant social science/policy field. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work well independently and on a team.
Experience with MS Office (especially Excel) is required. Prior knowledge of statistical software package (SAS, SPSS, STATA, etc.) is desired, but the ability to learn and strong quantitative skills are a must.
