We are looking for a Research Associate to provide ongoing R&D support to the North American Consumer Sciences Group.

Specific responsibilities will include;
  • To actively contribute towards the development of consumer preferred products, from concept ideation through to realization, to enable delivery of the Health, Hygiene and Home Innovation Pipeline
  • To explore new and existing technologies and apply creative thinking to their application in consumer relevant innovation
  • To access consumer knowledge from around the globe- ensuring that benefits afforded by novel technologies are relevant and appreciated by the consumers in both developed and developing markets
  • To create new NPD initiatives through technology scouting activities, information gathering and assessment of technical potential within Health, Hygiene and Home
  • Integrate existing and new product development capabilities to ensure delivery of successful, insight driven innovations with outstanding sensorial experiences for our consumers around the globe
  • Ensure that consumers are an integral part of the R&D invention process and get them involved throughout the product development cycle
  • Coordinate the appropriate Qualitative and Quantitative consumer research studies (i.e. Focus Groups, ethnography, etc) for new concepts and preliminary prototypes
  • Manage online consumer survey system
  • Responsible for compilation, questionnaire design, data analysis and report making

  • BS/BA degree in a related field and 5 years experience, or
  • MS degree in a related field and 3 years experience, or
  • PhD in a related field and 1 year experience
  • Experience in consumer research
  • Strong experience in fundamental qualitative and quantitative market research studies including focus group facilitation, ethnography, one- one interviews and consumer survey design
  • Basis statistical knowledge
  • Organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to turn ideas into actions
  • Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating
  • Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change
  • Deliver the work with quality and time
  • Proficient with common software, including MSOffice
  • Secondary Language is preferred
