Abide Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to contribute to the identification and development of novel small-molecule drugs targeting the serine hydrolase enzyme family. Abide Therapeutics’s mission is to develop innovative medicines that target serine hydrolases, one of the largest enzyme classes in nature with validated, but mostly untapped therapeutic potential. Abide is a privately held biotechnology company that was founded by scientific research from the laboratories of Professor Ben Cravatt and Professor Dale Boger at The Scripps Research Institute.

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with our biologists and medicinal chemists to discover new therapeutics. Job duties include characterizing new small molecule drug candidates using both in vivo and in vitro techniques. Familiarity with enzymatic assays, gel electrophoresis, mammalian cell-culture, molecular biology and experience performing pharmacological experiments using both rats and mice preferred.
