The Neuroscience Team at the Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development, LLC in La Jolla, California discovers medicines to treat neuropsychiatric diseases - especially disorders of mood and cognition. Our discovery strategy focuses in part on the emerging pharmacology of synaptic plasticity and its role in neuropsychiatric disease pathology.
Our discovery strategy focuses in part on the emerging pharmacology of synaptic complexes and their associated subunits. To enhance this key effort, we are looking for a qualified candidate to participate in discovery projects with an emphasis on
pharmacology. The ideal individual should have experience in establishing and conducting in vitro assays for the measurement of drug/receptor interactions. A working knowledge of receptor pharmacology, electrophysiology, high throughput screening and / or tissue culture experience is a plus.
The qualified candidate should have a B.S. or M.S. in biology or related discipline. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or academic research enviroment.
