Kelly Scientific Resources is actively seeking Molecular Biology Research Associates of all experience levels for anticipated upcoming staffing needs.

Roles may be contract, contract-to-hire, or direct hire as well as part-time or full-time in nature.

We may be seeking talented Research Associates to clone and express antigens, antibodies and their muteins, and construct large cDNA libraries for antibody discovery programs. This position will be primarily responsible for: Performing cloning methods, PCR methodologies, and vector and primer design Performing DNA mini-, midi-, maxi-prepping procedures Analysis of sequences and help with construct design Construction of cDNA libraries Maintenance and archiving of DNA, clones, and bacterial glycerol stocks
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BA/BS and 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in industry, or MA/MS and 0-2 years of relevant industry experience.
Knowledge Requirements: Familiar with DNA analysis software packages, such as Sequencher or Lasergene Experience with cloning methods, PCR methodologies, and vector and primer design Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Personal Competencies: Ability to communicate clearly, and to report and present experimental results and analysis to company colleagues Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in as a team player in a complex, changing environment Capacity to organize assignments, work within deadlines, multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously Self-motivated, independent, and results-oriented Strong analytical and organizational skills Highly attentive to details
Other Information Position may require occasional evening and/or weekend commitment Position may require working with biological and/or chemical hazards Position might require lifting up to 20 pounds
