A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Department of Physiology and the Cancer Center of Medical College of Wisconsin. The position is focused on identifying and characterizing genes for lung cancer susceptibility and survival using cellular and molecular biology approaches as well as high throughput molecular technology. Candidate will actively participate in cancer cell biology and genetics programs in Department of Physiology and/or Cancer Center. There will be ample opportunity for both methodological and applied collaborative research within the institution.
Candidates should have experiences in cellular and molecular techniques, such as human and mouse cell culture, Western Blotting, electrophoretic mobility shift assay ( EMSA ), expression vector construct and transfection to eukaryotic cells, cell proliferation and colony formation assays, qRT- PCR , and RNAi technology. Previous experience in rodent models and tumorigenicity assays is desirable but not essential.
