RESEARCH COORDINATOR, School Effectiveness and Inequality Initiative (SEII), to support SEII's program of rigorous impact evaluations and coordinate all aspects of an evaluation of the scholarship programs of the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (STBF), which provides support to 800 Nebraskans annually. Responsibilities include constructing data sets using primary sources; cleaning data sets and generally preparing data for analysis; implementing the research protocol developed for the evaluation; liaising with staff at STBF, University of Nebraska, and outside organizations to collect data, manage day-to-day operations of the evaluation, and solve problems; assisting with the writing and collection of the surveys of study participants; assisting with literature reviews, grant proposals, and reports; assisting in the preparation of academic papers; preparing data for publication and publishing data; and providing assistance required by STBF to carry out the research evaluation.
REQUIREMENTS: a background in economics and statistics, experience with applied quantitative methods, familiarity with Stata or equivalent statistical package, experience working with large data sets, and excellent communication skills. Position is based at the STBF in Omaha. Relocation expenses are not available.
This is a grant-funded position for a total of two more years.
