  • has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Director in our Healthcare Practice located in New York .

    This position has overall responsibility for the design, budgeting, scheduling, direction, analysis, cost management and delivery of large market research projects. This position will also be accountable for assisting in new business development. This position has substantial client contact of a strategic nature and involves supervision of others and managing a large client or segment of a practice.

    Primary responsibilities:
    • Manages projects/analysts/client base
    • Responsible for account growth
    • Assure high quality research by identifying potential problems, developing and implementing appropriate corrective action
    • Design studies using highly customized research design and methodologies to address client issues
    • Write and edit descriptive reports and interpretive reports
    • Conduct client meetings and assumes the role of primary client contact
    • Prepare and present well-organized and insightful client presentations
    • Write proposals
    • Prepare accurate cost-effective budgets; employ strategic pricing
    • Manage project costs by identifying potential financial problems and assisting in development and implementation of corrective action
    • Design complex tables, charts, and graphs to communicate information needs
    • Perform logic checks of the information presented on tables/graphs and other client deliverables
    • Manage the overall conceptualization, content and execution of questionnaire development
    • Assume a leadership role in identifying and building staff resources
    • Assists in or initiates the development and maintenance of significant client relationships
    • Oversee entire research process to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Specify special statistical analyses or employ sophisticated statistical processes to aid analysis (e.g. factor analysis, cluster analysis, etc.)
    • Counsel the client in proper conceptual and practical marketing research issues
    • Create more complex research design and methodologies and look for opportunities to customize methodologies to meet or exceed the client needs
    • Assist practice leader in coordinating and managing a department including projects, employees, communications, processes, resources, budgeting and staffing
    Key qualifications
    • Able to direct and consult on research of analysts
    • Able to manage work of the client base
    • Increases frequency of client interaction and size of accounts
    • May require domestic or international travel
    • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
    Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
    • Ability to direct and supervise all aspects of a research project
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Capable of interfacing effectively with clients
    • Ability to manage many projects
    • Ability to work cooperatively with other individuals at all levels throughout the organization including senior executives
    • Demonstrated ability to perform higher level analysis and to manage complex data processing requests
    • Strong leadership capabilities
    • Significant knowledge of client industries including market segments and associated marketing strategy
    • Capable of handling difficult client situations in a tactful and professional manner
    • Strong analytical thought and problem solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Education, Experience, and Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
    • 7 to 8 years of professional market research experience is required
    • Demonstrated experience and orientation for building relationships with existing clients is required
    • Experience in healthcare market research strongly preferred
    • Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
    • Supplier side experience
