The Research Manager directly interfaces with the analyst team and clients, and takes responsibility for developing survey questionnaires, interfacing with our market research vendors, overseeing and managing translations, sample frames, fielding reports, and for delivering high quality data. The Research Manager owns survey projects from inception to data delivery and is responsible for setting the parameters of such projects and delivering to specifications to clients both internally and externally.

The individual has good analytical skills, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working with multiple analysts and with clients in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate understands high standards for data quality and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. A solid understanding of market research processes and previous experience in the field are preferred.


Survey Design & Methodology:
  • Working with analyst team and clients to manage the survey development process
  • Design high quality survey instruments from scratch, based on client or analyst research needs
  • Turn research questions and hypotheses into excellent quality survey questions
  • Organizing survey instrument, writing programming instructions and filtering requirements
  • Recommend appropriate methodologies to meet client needs and research objectives

Fielding and Project Management:
  • Checking accuracy of survey logic
  • Managing vendor bids, communications and project
  • Setting quotas and other sample parameters for projects
  • Monitoring survey progress in field to insure all quotas are on target for timely completion
  • Quality assurance testing of programmed surveys prior to fielding
Research Calendar and Client Deliverables:
  • Managing internal research calendar and timelines
  • Scoping and pricing custom client projects
  • Working with analysts and vendors to ensure timely delivery of all components of research projects

  • At least 5 years of research project management or market research vendor experience
  • Good understanding of market research techniques and data quality standards
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into research questions and survey instruments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and complete projects on deadline
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to track multiple projects in various stages of development
  • Proficiency in Excel; SPSS and/or Wincross ideal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences required; Master’s degree a plus
  • Knowledge and interest in health and pharmaceutical industry a plus
