DESCRIPTION

Position will work 20 hours per week- Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm temporarily.

DUTIES

  • Act as the primary contact for research patients.
  • Coordinate, manage, and monitor research patient appointments, which may include several events.
  • Document, coordinate, and monitor all daily patient appointments, cancellations, and activities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate and manage patients' multiple-week research treatment schedule to meet study requirements, patient needs, and provider availability.
  • Manage & monitor patients' schedules in electronic scheduling systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare research charts and materials prior to patient appointments.
  • Monitor patient and clinical staff compliance with study protocols; address compliance issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure clinicians have the resources they need to deliver high quality care within the studies, e.g.:
  • Obtain outside medical records as requested
  • Ensure treatment and exam rooms are properly equipped
  • Address other needs as identified
  • Respond to all inquiries via e-mail, postal mail, and phone according to standardized protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task effectively with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer and clerical skills required.
  • Previous experience working as part of a team.
  • Previous experience following/applying standardized protocols or guidelines. - Act as the primary contact for research patients.
