Serves as the primary Health System provider for the following services: internal/external quality projects, surveys and departmental consultation; manages focus group research projects and compiles and presents research findings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
MIDAS: Coordinates MIDAS data integrity checks, data harvesting and report management related to quality projects for the DCH Health System as directed. Serves as primary contact for MIDAS patient relations; creates and distributes statistical reports monthly/quarterly; provides educational in-services for managers/directors, as needed and assists IS in the creation of new work lists/reports.
MIDAS STATIT: Serve as the MIDAS STATIT resource for DCH Health System quality projects.
Truven Health CARE DISCOVERY: Serves as Care Discovery Coordinator for DCH Health System.
Patient Satisfaction: Manages and supervises day to day operation of The Regional Medical Center; Northport Medical Center; Fayette Medical Center & Pickens County Medical Center Patient Satisfaction process, including serving as the liaison between DCH and Press Ganey, creates and distributes all weekly, monthly and quarterly statistical reports and literal comments, provides consultation services to Health System Managers regarding use of data, develops improvement plans for Managers; provides educational in-services for unit/departmental employees.
CMS HCAHPS: Manages and supervises day to day operation of The Regional Medical Center; Northport Medical Center; Fayette Medical Center & Pickens County Medical Center CMS HCAHPS survey process(es), including serving as the liaison between DCH and Press Ganey, creates and distributes all statistical reports, provides consultation services to Health System Managers regarding use of HCAHPS data; provides educational in-services for unit/departmental employees.
Grievances: Manages day to day operation of the Regional Medical Center, Northport Medical Center, Fayette Medical Center, and Pickens County Medical Center grievance process from patient satisfaction surveys including identifying grievances; forwarding to managers for resolution; and communicating back with patient regarding the resolution of their grievance.
Physician Satisfaction Survey: Manages the physician satisfaction survey process for the Regional Medical Center, Northport Medical Center, Fayette Medical Center and Pickens County Medical Center, including serving as the primary contact for the DCH Health System; implementing survey process; and assistance in results reporting.
Committees: Serves and holds primary responsibilities on various Health System-wide committees and interacts regularly with DCH President/CEO, Health System Administrators, Health System vice-presidents and Health System Corporate Director Marketing/Communications.
Market Share: Manages/develops reporting process for market share analysis for The DCH Health System.
Strategic Report Projects: Develops multiple statistical report projects essential to the DCH strategic planning process.
Coordination: Coordinates reporting activities with Data Coordinator.
Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelors' degree in marketing or related field required; 3 years experience in healthcare data management required; must have demonstrated proficiency in the following computer software: Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with strong emphasis on Excel and Access. Must have keyboarding experience. Must be able to work independently, multitask, organize key projects, and prioritize tasks, with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong team building skills; Strong oral and written communication skills - electronically, face-to-face and over the phone; Knowledge/prior experience using Press Ganey satisfaction systems and methodology strongly preferred. Trained focus group moderator preferred. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
