Duties And Responsibilities & Minimum Requirements:

The Research Specialist helps coordinate all aspects of the Shark Bay Dolphin Research Project including logistics, data collection, field site maintenance, website development and communications, graduate and undergraduate training and assistance. The Research Specialist also will conduct field research and assist in identifying and tracking dolphins. The Mann laboratory is building a large relational database including 26 years of long term data on a wild population of bottlenose dolphins. The incumbent will perform data coding, manuscript development and training of students. Requires Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years computational laboratory and field research experience.
