The person in this position will be involved in operating pilot plant equipment, designing and setting up food processing systems, conducting experiments, acquiring and analyzing data, publishing results, managing the engineering laboratory and projects, and training students on the use of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Design, setup, and troubleshooting of microwave systems, pumps, heat exchangers, fillers, and other food/chemical processing equipment at a pilot plant scale level. Experience with computer-aided-design and fabrication of components of a food processing system.
