Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Status : $40,000/annual, Full-Time, Benefitted, Exempt
Position Details :
Duties for this position will include most current molecular techniques, including but not limited to polymerase chain reaction (PCR), RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, and ELISAs, and cellular techniques such as cell culture, flow cytometry, proliferation assays, and large scale antibody purification. They will also include oversight of in vivo experiments in geese, mice, and other models.
Conduct experiments in consultation with faculty member.
Schedule and conduct independent experiments.
Collect, organize and archive data.
Write methods and results sections for reporting data.
Other duties will include:
-Regular laboratory management and upkeep
-Ordering of supplies
-Maintain radiation records and perform monthly swipe tests
-Maintain and do minor repair of lab equipment
The individual will report directly to the laboratory PI, with involvement in the lab personnel's projects as directed.
Minimum Qualifications Required :
B.S. or B.A. with biomedical laboratory experience
Major field of study in Immunology or related discipline
Experience with any of the following: PCR, RT-PCR, Western blotting, gel electrophoresis, ELISAs, and cellular techniques
Subject to a Criminal History Background Check
Qualifications Preferred :
Two plus years experience in biomedical research
