The laboratory of Dr. David Gerrard is seeking a Research Specialist. The primary responsibilities for this position will include: 1) assisting in general laboratory operations (ordering supplies/reagents, organizing lab manuals and other materials, maintaining laboratory equipment); 2) assisting with undergraduate research projects; 3) completing research that involves using histological and molecular approaches.

Required Qualifications:
BS in Animal Sciences, Biology or related field; or, equivalent level of experience and training; Experience in a biomedical research laboratory; Experience with histological and molecular laboratory techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Biochemistry or related level experience; Experience or interest in learning to work with livestock; Experience or interest with overseeing undergraduate research projects.
