Advertised Summary Job Description

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) of The Fear, Anxiety, and Biosocial Behavioral (FABB) Lab, the Research Staff Assistant will provide assistance in all areas of research including preparation of experimental stimuli, data collection, data entry and analysis; and in the preparation for publishing of papers. Incumbent performs other administrative duties related to the lab and research (lab maintenance, ordering of supplies, grant preparation, etc.) Position requires at least I year commitment with the possibility of extension.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or a related field as well as demonstrated a strong interest in research.

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. At least 6 months experience in a research setting carrying out psychology experiments. Computer literacy (with proficiency in excel and word).

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in computer programming is highly desirable.
